Maria Teresa Estate is located on the hills to the north of Lucca, surrounded by a beautiful landscape of olive groves, vineyards and woods. The company, classified organic since 2003 for its extra virgin olive oil, produces also excellent red and white wines, honey and pasta which have been converted to organic status as well. We wish to reassure our esteemed customers that our extra virgin olive oil is strongly linked to its company brand.

Tenuta Maria Teresa and the ICEA organic certification together guarantee that the production is only limited to the olives harvested from the trees of our estate. The olives, in the varieties Leccino, Frantoio, Maurino and Moraiolo, are harvested separately at the right ripening point and pressed on the very same day in the estate own olive mill.

The milling is performed at a controlled temperature under 27° Celsius (“cold extraction”), with kneading times of about 30 minutes. The olive oil is preserved in nitrogen tanks at a controlled temperature. Every product is analyzed from an organoleptic and a chemical point of view: the result is always an organic extra virgin olive oil with a very low acidity, a high polyphenols content and a low peroxides content.

We produce Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil in Lucca Tuscany of the highest category obtained directly from olives and solely by mechanical processes. The olives, after a proper selection, are immediately pressed in the own ESTATE OLIVE MILL, under controlled temperature (“COLD EXTRACTION”). Thanks to such careful processing, we manage to obtain an olive oil which is unique in quality and taste.
Our organic extra virgin olive oil is certified from organic farming and controlled by the Istituto per la Certificazione Etica e Ambientale, Aut Mi.P.A.F. It is produced in accordance to the European regulations CEE 834/07 and CE889/08.
